Our member of the month for April (and our winner of the $100 Chodat Fitness Voucher!) is Chrissy Weekes. She was chosen by our trainer Liz for her awesomeness and her ability to overcome any obstacle life may throw her way. Chrissy has been training with Em and Liz over the past year and we have to say she is absolutely killing it for a 60 year old!
What initially prompted you to start training with Chodat fitness?
One of my workmates Stacey trained with Chodat.
What is your current goal, or next mini goal you are looking to achieve?
Working to strengthen my left knee and also minimising that pesky middle age roll on my waist!
What’s your biggest achievement so far?
Losing so much body fat and building up my core muscles and especially around my stoma.
What do you enjoy most about training?
How great I feel both mentally and physically after my PT session. It also inspires me to go to the gym to work out at least 3-4 times a week.
How has your lifestyle changed?
I never thought after my illness and operation I would ever visit a gym or do any sort of training . I have more confidence in myself thanks to Liz always encouraging me to achieve my fitness goals and believe in my abilities.
What is one piece of advice you would like to give to others just starting out?
Have confidence in yourself and your abilities. Set personal goals and stick to them.
