Sprint Training
Sprint training sessions are held on the synthetic athletics track at Beaton Park Leisure Centre, Foleys Rd Gwyneville. These classes are designed for children aged 5 right through to adults to the age of 25 and last for approximately 1 hour (please note classes may go 5 or 10 minutes longer to ensure the sessions program has been completed).
Benefits of Sprint Training:
Speed is a necessary attribute in almost every sport. It holds the difference between making that representative team, and missing out. Our classes aim at making participants faster, more agile and technically efficient which is achieved through technical analysis, sports specific programming and continual feedback, in an environment that is fun and effective.
Class Times:
Monday 5.30pm Tuesday 4pm Friday 3.45pm All sprint classes offer a range of sprint moves to benefit those participating in ball sports and athletics events. Including technical sprints, running drills and agility exercises that aim to increase speed over 5, 10, 20, 40 and 60 metres metres and also athletic distances of 100, 200, and 400 metres. To attend the session please come to the track at the session time, pay the track entry fee $2.80 (at the Beaton Park Leisure Centre front desk) and meet the CHODAT fitness Sprint Coach on the track. Cost per child for the session is $15, or $25 for a family of 2 children (track fee usage is separate).
