What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a Federal Government initiative that provides support to people living with a permanent disability, as well as their families or carers. Their aim is to invest in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life and help them achieve their goals.
The NDIS provides funding based on these agreed goals, whether they are health and fitness related, education based or something else, giving the person an opportunity to achieve what is referred to as an “ordinary life” (i.e. a life that anybody else who does not have a disability is expected to have).
Who are Greenacres?
