EXPERIENCE: Starting in the Fitness Industry in 2000 after his career in athletics was finalising due to injury,  Lukas followed his passion and pursued a career in the fitness industry.  As a National Champion he won  5 national gold medals, and 8 state gold medals in the 100 and 200 meter races. He also played representative rugby league for the Illawarra Steelers RLFC in the junior ranks.His career in fitness has now allowed Lukas to  work with clients whose goals range from weight loss, muscle gain and general fitness and also specialises in sports specific programming for individuals, teams and small groups. Chodat Fitness under his guidance has trained clients ranging from the sporting elite  for example: AFL, NRL, A-League, National Netball League, Australian Touch Football team, Australian/NSW Sprinting Representatives, Australian/NSW Swimming Representatives to name a few.

Emily Chodat

EXPERIENCE:  Firstly a proud  mother of two little ladies and wife of Lukas,  Em works part time with Chodat Fitness while doing her other full time job as mum and managing the house hold 😀

She has had that life experience personally in pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, injury, competition in sport, weight loss/muscle gain and well being. Em feels her strength is connecting with people that need help and want to find change in their lives. Fabian Iacovelli

EXPERIENCE: Fabian has extensive experience in the sporting and coaching realm. Having played soccer internationally and locally since he was in his young teens Fabian has a solid understanding as to what its like to coach and be coached. These are some of his proud achievements; most recently he made played for three weeks for Division 3 club Temecula FC in the USA.  Played for AC Trani in Italy and won the Roma Cup at the age of 15 and was with Bromsgrove Rovers for 3 months in England at  the age of 16 years.  Was a part of the A-League with Newcastle Jets for 3 years where he featured in a match against LA Galaxy and David Beckham. Played with APIA Leichhardt, Parramatta Eagles and with Wollongong Wolves clubs. In 2014 he was part of the first 11 for IPL Grand final winners for Dandaloo Fury.
Fab came 2nd in Tough Mudder Spring 2013 and currently competing in obstacle races at a competitive level. In 2014 Fab was Chosen for the final 30 in the Australia toughest mudder 24hour selection in which he was placed 2nd overall in NSW in the Pre selection. He Finished off the year in the top 30 in the NSW Obstacle Course leader board and looks to better as he gains more experience.

Tara Guest

EXPERIENCE: Tara’s passion for health and fitness grew from her diverse sporting background, including representative netball and sprinting. This led her to complete her Certificate III and IV in Fitness while studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Technology Sydney. Tara’s goal is to inspire and assist others to reach their health and fitness goals, including improving sports performance, changing body composition and improving overall well being. Tara wants others to view fitness positively by understanding that training should not solely be completed for aesthetic purposes, but rather so you can move skilfully, lift heavier, run further and feel happier.

Michael Rodrigues

EXPERIENCE; Michael enjoyed playing a range of team sports through juniors playing in representative sides in Rugby League and Cricket. He also played 1st Grade cricket for Shellharbour in the south coast competition in the late 1990’s. He found his passion for multisport racing about 10 years ago starting out in short distance triathlon. After years of aerobic endurance training he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience at racing various distances now focusing his efforts on longer distance racing and is a 4 Ironman distance finisher racing all around Australia and achieving All World Athlete Silver status in 2016 awarded to the top 5% of Ironman distances racers worldwide. He is passionate about health and fitness and understanding how to get the most out of his body and mind as well as helping others achieve their fitness goals.  He is also completing his Diploma in Remedial Massage.

Sean Murray-Smith

EXPERIENCE : Sean has been a fitness professional since graduating in 2003. Over the years he has worked across a broad range of clients, from absolute beginners in the gym to experienced professional athletes and Olympians. With a strength and conditioning philosophy that integrates power and stamina along with mobility and core strength, he has the skills to accommodate for all ages, abilities, and injury. Sean is currently undertaking his PhD, with a special focus on rugby union injuries.

EXPERIENCE; 

Jack has a impressive background in Rugby League, having played with the Orange C.Y.M.S. RLFC and having been selected to play in Group 10 representative football, Diocesan and Combined Catholic Colleges Representative Rugby League and Woodbridge cup. Also selected to play with the Newcastle Knights in the under 16s Harold Matthews Competition.
Excelling in swimming as at school age also he knows what its like to be dedicated to his training.
At the age of 18, after doing an ECG fitness test for Rugby League Pre-season, was told that his season and possibly career had ended after he had experienced an irregular heart murmur’s and unexplained palpations. Having immediate heart surgery and therefore missed the season and most of the year 12 HSC experience.
Going through this experience has only fuelled his passion for health and fitness because it has shown, that being healthy and having a moving and functioning body shouldn’t be taken for granted and we should continually work to better ourselves.

EXPERIENCE; Alex has been into health and fitness from a young age, playing rep basketball at school as well as tennis, swimming, hockey, surfclub and rowing. She joined her first gym at 13 and has never looked back, realising the power of movement and how a healthy body supports a healthy mind. Alex is a firm believer of creating a body that will support the lifestyle that you love and is also passionate about holistic health practises such as meditation and mindfulness, which she will be studying in 2019. Her background is in accounting and as a travel agent, but completing her PT course has meant her passion for health and fitness is now enabling her to help others to achieve their goals and find the freedom of an active lifestyle.

Peter Heuvelmans

EXPERIENCE; Peter has over twenty years experience in the field of health and fitness, personal training, injury rehabilitation, exercise for special needs,  nutrition and lifestyle coaching. He is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Accredited Exercise Scientist, Personal Trainer and Hydrotherapy Facilitator, as well as a member of Sports Medicine Australia and Exercise Sports Science Australia.

His treatments encompass orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions, metabolic conditions, injury prevention and rehabilitation, posture and anthropometrics, remedial massage and myofascial release, mindfulness meditation and stress management.    

Peter has worked in conjunction with Orthopedic Surgeons, GP’s, rehabilitation and sports medicine specialists, pain clinics, physiotherapists and other Allied Heath professionals developing specific programs for cardiac and respiratory conditions, chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, obesity. arthritis, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

After a bout of illness that stopped her physically for some time, she decided to pursue a degree in nutrition.   Learning the power of a well balanced diet and how this contributes to good health.  Starting back exercising again, she had a whole new appreciation for her body, the foods that fuel it, and how instrumental exercise was in her own health journey. Her goal as a personal trainer is to share this with clients, to show others how powerful both diet and exercise can be in improving quality of life in all areas.
