Our latest member of the month, and winner of the $100 Chodat Fitness voucher is Marko Krleski! Marko was chosen by his trainers, Cass & Reece for his unstoppable attitude and dedication to his training. Marko trains twice a week with a trainer, and comes in once a week to do his own workout with the help of his Mum, Nicky, or Wife, Kirby. Marko always pushes himself to the limits, gives his all in each and every session and is a wonderful inspiration to those around him. No slacking off here!
What initially prompted you to start training with Chodat fitness?
I knew that Chodat Fitness was going to be a supportive environment and the gym was very accessible for my wheelchair, given my disability.
What is your current goal, or next mini goal you are looking to achieve?
My next goal is just to keep building my strength – especially my legs so that one day I can train more independently.
What’s your biggest achievement so far?
Smashing my legs on the leg press. I love leg day. (Side note – Marko can now leg press more than 50kg!)
What do you enjoy most about training?
The thing I enjoy most about training is the way it makes you feel. It’s a great mental health kick as well as the added bonus of the physical gains.
What motivates you to train?
My family and my trainers but since my injury I have a lot of self motivation also.
What is one piece of advice you would like to give to others just starting out?
Don’t give up. I believe no goal is to hard to achieve. Set small measurable goals first and then work towards the big ones.
