Good Health: Why our Diet is so Important

Healthy eating: You should consume a wide variety of foods, especially five servings of vegetables and two servings of fruit every day.

 Whether your goal is to lose those 5kg, increase muscle mass, compete in a figure competition, win that grand final or simply be healthier, food plays a massive role in everyday life and the goals we set.

We could be training harder than we ever have been however if your balance with food is out then you will never get the best out of yourself and what you set to achieve.

Here are some tips regarding food and what you should adhere to:

– Never skip breakfast

– Consume a wide variety of foods, especially 5 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit every day

– Two litres of water a day is always needed and should be increased if physical activity is performed

– Ensure you are getting some form of protein at each of your main meals, whether it be dairy, meat and poultry, seafood, beans, pulses and nuts.
