When we are trying to eat healthy, and train hard, we have to be very wary we don’t blow our daily calorie budget.
This calorie budget if not adhered to closely it can easily blow out and cause no drop in weight or even potentially weight gain if that is your goal. Foods that are perceived to be healthy but hold a lot of extra calories or sugars include:
All these perceived ‘healthy foods’ are packed with a lot of energy and sugar if we are looking at losing weight.
Some better alternatives include:
- Greek yoghurt or full cream milk
- Oats with protein powder and LSA
- Home made nut bars
Be aware of hidden calories, as all your hard work can easily be undone very quickly.
