Introducing our new member of the month post. At Chodat fitness we have a range of clients who are constantly reaching their goals, improving their lifestyles and being fantastic role models to those around them. Each member of the month receives a $100 Chodat gift card to congratulate them on all of their hard work.

Our first members of the month, Nicky and Gavin, were selected by our trainer Cass due to their dedication and commitment to creating a healthier lifestyle, not only for themselves, but for their 5 year old daughter Alissa (who calls Reece her new boyfriend!). Nicky and Gavin train twice per week – once with Cass and once with Reece, from home and have had phenomenal results, losing a combined amount of 10kg in just 4 weeks of training! The way these two have completely overhauled lifestyle is really something to be highlighted and admired.

What initially prompted you to start training with Chodat fitness?

Nicky: The number one reason behind our training is longevity and setting a positive example for our daughter Alissa. We also have an upcoming trip to Thailand in September that we would like to lose weight for as our clothes were starting to become a bit snug. We chose Chodat Fitness as we know Lukas personally and we just knew he could help us with this – which he has. You cannot find a nicer guy than Lukas.

Gavin: The main reason would be Alissa. But I also REFUSED to go up another pant size!

What is the main goal you are training for?

Nicky: I would like to lose 15kg all up by the end of September – I’m already down 5!

Gavin: I would like to get down to around 80kg, and I’m almost halfway there!

What’s your biggest achievement so far?

Nicky: In our first session I could only run 9 laps of my garden – now I’m up to 21!

Gavin: I used to only be able to do 6 crunches. Now I’m up to 32.

What do you enjoy most about training?

Nicky: Our trainers. Cass and Reece. They are awesome!

Gavin: You always feel better once you train. No one really ever regrets a workout.

How has your lifestyle changed?

Nicky: A lot more veggies, a lot less takeaway. That’s for sure! Our clothes are getting looser as well. I can especially notice the difference in my arms which is good as this where I wanted it gone the most.

Gavin: It’s just been great to get the whole family on board and demonstrate good exercise habits to Alissa.

What is one piece of advice you would like to give to others just starting out?

Nicky: It’s been hard, but well worth it. It’s certainly opened my eyes to portion sizes and certain foods that may be disguised as healthy but are actually not great for you!

Gavin: Just start! You won’t regret it.
